Brand Blanshard
Blanshard [blæʹnʃərd], Brand, 1892–1987, amerikansk filosof, professor vid Yale University 1945–61.
Blanshard kritiserade empirism och analytisk filosofi och utvecklade en rationalistisk idealism i anslutning till F.H. Bradley, Bernard Bosanquet och Josiah Royce. Hans viktigaste skrifter är The Nature of Thought 1–2 (1939), Reason and Goodness (1961), Reason and Analysis (1962) och Reason and Belief (1974).
