Unix

Unix® [ju:ʹniks], operativsystem för datorer utvecklat från 1969 vid AT&T Bell Laboratories, USA, av Ken Thompson (född 1943) och Dennis Ritchie (född 1941). Inspirationskällan till Unix var det komplexa operativsystemet Multics, ett forskningsprojekt som drevs av Bell Laboratories, General Electric och MIT.
